Product Engineer

About the Role
As a Product Engineer at Jobbluff, you'll build and own the core algorithms and features that power our job quality scoring system. You'll work directly with our product team to understand job seekers' pain points and translate them into technical solutions that make job hunting smarter and more efficient.
This is a unique opportunity to be a key contributor in a fast-growing startup where your code directly impacts millions of users' career outcomes. You'll own features end-to-end, from initial concept through deployment and iteration.
What You'll Do
- •Build and maintain the core job scoring algorithms that analyze LinkedIn postings in real-time
- •Develop new data signals and improve scoring accuracy using user feedback and application outcomes
- •Build and optimize web interfaces, APIs, and analytics systems that power our job matching platform
- •Implement A/B tests and analytics to measure feature impact on user behavior and conversion
- •Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to ship user-facing features
- •Scale our data processing pipeline as we analyze millions of job interactions monthly
- •Contribute to expanding our platform beyond LinkedIn to other major job boards and platforms
What We're Looking For
- •3-5 years of full-stack development experience, ideally in a product-focused startup
- •Strong React and TypeScript expertise with modern frontend tooling
- •Proficient with modern web technologies including React, Node.js, and cloud platforms
- •Background in data processing, algorithms, or analytics (Python, ML experience a plus)
- •Understanding of SaaS product development and user experience principles
- •Passion for solving complex problems in job search and career development
- •Experience with edge computing and modern web APIs preferred
Nice to Have
- •Experience with web scraping or DOM manipulation
- •Knowledge of machine learning concepts and statistical analysis
- •Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers and edge computing
- •Experience with A/B testing frameworks and analytics
